As an educational center, our goal is to teach through art and literary activities. As a community resource, we serve to provide the LGBT community of Provincetown and our visitors with support groups, referrals, and health and wellness programs.
The Provincetown LGBT Center promotes a healthy environment for all and to foster diversity within our community as a whole. We will showcase and celebrate the lives and experiences of Provincetown’s diverse LGBT community, inform and enrich people and provide connections.
We are a safe space for LGBT residents and visitors, where one can freely be oneself in a supportive place that has historically stood for inclusion over several centuries.
We hope to mentor and develop a new generation of leaders in
Provincetown and America. We hope to strengthen the LGBT movement locally while educating the public about issues and policy initiatives, and working with leaders to promote equality and justice for LGBT people. By shining a light on the Provincetown LGBT community contribution to the arts/entertainment, social justice, and commerce we hope to provoke dialogue and thoughtful conversation.
