8:30PM – 10PM, Opening Night Concert, Vixen Nightclub, 336 Commercial St. $10 Tonight we’re going to preview the acts you’ll be seeing all weekend, including, Dane Vannatter (Boston), Patricia Fitzpatrick (West Yarmouth), Brian Patton (Boston), Lisa Jason (Chatham), Carol Wyeth (Brewster), Celeste Howe (West Barnstable), Tedi Marsh (Mashpee), Casey & Denise (Provincetown), and more! 10PM - 1AM, Casey Sanderson and Denise Parks, (Provincetown), Porchside Bar at the Gifford House, 11 Carver St. Cabaret Fest Inn Stroll $25 Here’s your chance to get up close and personal with the performers. Three inns open up their living rooms for performances by 5 different Cabaret artists. Lounge on comfy couches, or grab a seat on the floor. Seating is limited so, book early! He was a regular performer at the Hampshire House on Beacon Hill and the headliner at the Plaza Bar at the Copley Plaza. He summers and performs in Provincetown. Wetherbee began his piano playing at the age of three and benefited from excellent acting, singing and piano instructors, including those at the New England Conservatory of Music. He acted in clubs and in off-Broadway, New York productions. His career has taken him to some top spots including the St. Regis’ King Cole Room and Top of the Sixes in New York. . Celeste Howe ![]() Celeste Howe has been singing professionally for over 20 years. She attended Boston University School of Fine Arts and was classically trained. Her second love being acting, Celeste found a niche in Cabaret. The intimacy and connection with the audience was a perfect match. She was trained in NY and Boston by Cabaret teachers, Edwin Grey and Mike Oster. She performed with a cabaret quartet called, Manhattan, at the Lenox Hotel in Boston and also the Newport Hotel in RI. She travelled to New England schools for three years performing an inspirational musical that she authored, called "Hold Onto The Gleam." She has created and performed a number of one woman cabarets and is currently performing her "Sunny Side Jazzaret" at Amari Restaurant in East Sandwich. Lisa Jason ![]() Lisa Jason has performed since she was a child and her one woman-show "Lisa Jason's Little Voice" is a tribute to many legendary female vocalists from Judy Garland to Dionne Warwich and from Peggy Lee to Barbara Streisand. She has long been a regional favorite vocal artist performing at fund-raisers in her one-woman shows and presenting her own songs to various venues on the Cape and in Boston and New York. Lisa was the guest vocalist with the Cape Cod Symphony "Pops in the Park" in August 2006 where she debuted her song that she wrote "Beautiful Child" which was recently adopted by The March Of Dimes. She is the Massachusetts State Ambassador to the March Of Dimes and recently released her third CD entitled "Road To Me," a collection of songs written by her and other local songwriters. Casey and Denise ![]() Casey and Denise got their start performing together back in the 90's when they both were at Provincetown High School! They went to separate colleges and individually continued to persue their musical interests and love of theater. After graduation they both returned to the Provincetown area where Casey works now as the High School and Elementary School music teacher. Denise is busy working at the police station and being a new mommy. The Casey and Denise duo rejoined in 2005 and have been together since. They perform at various venues in Provincetown, including the Gifford House and Crown & Anchor. Brian Patton ![]() Brian Patton Pianist, Singer, and Musical Director, has performed throughout Boston, New York and Provincetown for over 20 years. Brian has performed at Don’t Tell Mama’s (NYC), Scullers Jazz Club (Boston), and for the past 6 summers, with musical partner Mary Callanan, has been proud to be part of the “cavalcade of stars” at the Crown and Anchor. Brian has performed onstage with Joan Rivers (Wilbur Theater-Boston), Broadway’s Jackie Hoffman (Boston Center for the Arts) and opened for Steve Tyrrell (North Shore Music Theater). Brian has two CD’s out “At the Movies” and “How I Spent My Summer Vacation”. Brian’s favorite album, Vikki Carr “Live from the Persian Room at the Plaza” can often be found spinning on his turntable. Carol Wyeth ![]() Carol Wyeth spent several years touring the country as the opening act for big name artists, including Johnny Mathis and Jerry Vale. When she eventually moved to Cape Cod to raise her family, she discovered that classic standards and Broadway show tunes suited her singing style and decided to resume her career. Carol has been performing for a number of years around Cape Cod and for the past few years, performing and recording, with the Bart Weisman Group. 1:30PM – 2:45PM, Lunch - The Provincetown Business Guild’s member restaurants are cooking up specials for participants of Cabaret Fest! Tickets are $15 each or $25 for both shows! 2:45PM – 3:45PM, Dane Vannatter (Boston) Vixen Nightclub, 336 Commercial St. $15 Dane Vannatter ![]() Dane Vanatter has been acclaimed by reviewers at The Boston Globe, The New York Post and BackStage for a style that "blends facets of cabaret and jazz with intelligence and care." He was awarded the 2006 Bistro Award for Outstanding Vocalist by the critics of BackStage in New York. Dane has performed in New York, Boston, Cape Cod, etc., and has released 3 CDs. The Boston Globe remarks "Dane Vannatter's distinctive style leaves an imprint on whatever music he sings. His voice has a floating quality that gets in your head and won't leave…his music is a swinging, soaring adventure!" 4:15PM – 5:15PM, Patricia Fitzpatrick (West Yarmouth) with Brian Patton on the piano (Cape Cod) Vixen Nightclub, 336 Commercial St. $15 Patricia Fitzpatrick ![]() Patricia Fitzpatrick is founder of Cape Cod Cabaret and is a highly respected entertainer and comedian. Her silky, smoky vocals and ability to connect with her audience have propelled her to the forefront of the cabaret world. Fitzpatrick has appeared in New York City "Don't Tell Mama's," Chicago's "Davenports," Key West Florida's "Oldest Bar," Detroit's Playboy Club and was one of the five leads in the World Premier of, Kander & Ebb's "Lady, Lover, Liar Whore" at the new Provincetown Theater in the summer of 2006. 5:15PM – 8:30PM, Dinner, Check out the special dining options available to participants of Cabaret Fest! 8:30PM – 10PM, String of Pearls,with Tony Regusis on piano, Chris Rathbun on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums, Vixen Nightclub, 336 Commercial St. $15 String of Pearls ![]() String of Pearls began in the mid-1980s, when a musical director brought these talented ladies together for a special show of nostalgia material. The singers, Susan Halloran, Jeanne O'Connor, and Holli Ross, decided to stay together and expand their repertoire of jazz, cabaret and pop material. String of Pearls began appearing at clubs, cabarets, and concert halls throughout the metropolitan area and beyond. Since then, this exceptional group has appeared in the JVC Jazz Festival, at Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, Town Hall, the Latin Quarter, The Manhattan Center, The Battleship Intrepid and The Kennedy Center Holli, Sue and Jeanne performed in May 2001 at the renowned Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as part of its "Women in Jazz Festival." They have recently performed at New York's annual Cabaret convention, the Mohonk Jazz Festival, the Millbrook Jazz Festival and the famous "Lyrics and Lyricists" program at Manhattan's 92nd street Y Cultural Center. The singers also tour abroad, most recently touring Japan and before that, a sold-out nightclub engagement in Munich, Germany. The group has shared a bill with the McGuire Sisters, and has sung with leading big bands such as Vince Giordano’s Nighthawks and Peter Duchin. 11:30AM – 1PM Brunch with Carol O'Shaughnessy, with Brian Patton on piano, Chris Rathbun on bass, and Bart Weisman on drums, Crown & Anchor, 247 Commercial St. $30 What better way to end the perfect weekend of song, then with a Cabaret Brunch at the Crown & Anchor. Scrambled eggs, fritatta, French toast, bacon, sausage. corned beef hash, home fries, fresh fruit and coffee and tea. Cash Bar Carol O'Shaughnessy ![]() Dubbed “Boston’s First Lady of Cabaret”, Carol O'Shaughnessy has earned the city’s Cabaret Entertainer of the Year” for appearances at New York City’s Town Hall, Jordan Hall, The Regattabar and Scullers. Carol’s one-woman shows “Stuff In The Box … Provincetown The Early Years” and “Ring-a-Ding-Ding … The Music of the Rat Pack” were named “Top 10 Best Cabaret Shows for 2002 and 2003” respectively. She was also nominated by the Independent Reviewers of New England for “Best Female Cabaret Entertainer 2004”. Carol has appeared with Joan Rivers at the North Shore Music Theatre and David Brenner at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Theatre. Carol recently appeared on Chronicle as part of their “My Boston” show. O’Shaughnessy has three CD’s, “The Way I See It” and “Live At Scullers” and “Ring-A-Ding-Ding….The Music of the Rat Pack” all of which have received rave reviews. Carol appeared in Provincetown’s with her fabulous retro show “Stuff In The Box …. Provincetown, The Early Years” in 2004. Carol is also an accomplished actress and has performed as Matron “Mama” Morton in the Worcester Foothills Theatre productions of Chicago, directed by Susan Streeter. O’Shaughnessy recently cruised with RSVP Travel on the Star Clipper to the Mediterranean. O’Shaughnessy returns to cruise with RSVP Travel the summer of 2006 to Budapest, Vienna and Prague. Ms. O has appeared with Ms. Jan Peters in “That’s Entertainment… the Music of Liza and Judy” at Rafaels’ in Quincy. “Carol has an innate ability to deliver a song with the best of them.
